Noa Kageyama ’98 (Oberlin College, Psychology) — licensed sport and performance psychologist and faculty member at The Juilliard School, Cleveland Institute of Music, and New World Symphony — returns to Oberlin this spring for in-person workshops and individual coaching sessions.

Whether you struggle with nerves, overthinking, or inconsistency under pressure, these sessions will give you practical, research-based tools to perform at your best when it matters most.

March 12
Individual Coaching: 2 to 4:30 p.m. (Bibbins Hall Room 334). Bring your Instrument.
Performance Under Pressure - Part 1: How to Beat Nerves and Play your Best When it Matters Most: 5:00-6:30pm (Bibbins 223). Bring your instruments (but don’t worry - we’ll be doing group exercises, so you won’t have to play in front of each other)
Individual Coaching: 7 to 8 p.m. (Bibbins Hall Room 334). Bring your Instrument.

March 13
Individual Coaching: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Bibbins Hall Room 334). Bring your Instrument.
Performance Under Pressure - Part 2: How to Practice Consistency and Close the Practice/Performance Gap: 3:30-5:00pm (Bibbins 237). Bring your instruments (but don’t worry - we’ll be doing group exercises, so you won’t have to play in front of each other)
